Bike Open Fest 2020
Popular cycling races are back!
The second year of the Bike Open Fest will take place on May 1 and 2. Throughout the two days, you will be able to participate in cycling competitions and enjoy the rich accompanying programme and the delicious gastro zone.
Friday, May 1, will belong to Peter Sagan’s Kids Tour. This project is designed for all children (born in 2004 and later) to demonstrate their cycling skills and compete with their peers from all over the country. The tournament is divided into categories by age, so two-year-old cyclists on balance bikes will enjoy this event as much as the older, more experienced cyclists. The cycling circuit is undemanding and safe, suitable for the youngest racers, as well.
On Saturday, May 2, the competitors will participate in cyclo-cross races. The cyclists will compete on 50 km, 33 km, and 18 km long cyclo-cross routes. Cycling conditions will be moderately challenging and the cycling routes will run through the beautiful environment of the alluvial forests around the Danube. The last category will consist of a popular 5-km-long Family Cycling Relay. Teams wanting to participate in a non-challenging relay must consist of at least two adult family members and at least one child under 14 years of age. The maximum number of family members per relay team is five. The day’s programme will be concluded with a ceremonial announcement of results.
